The architecture of an auspicious beginning.

Muhūrta is not the search for a universally lucky timestamp. It is the disciplined comparison of viable beginnings for a named act in a real place.

01कर्म

The event determines the hierarchy

Marriage, travel, house entry, purchase, treatment and business opening are not the same beginning. Each event brings different priorities, prohibitions and practical constraints.

A comprehensive engine begins by asking what is being done. Without that answer, a favourable time can only be generic.

02देश · काल

Place and local day

Panchanga limbs and daily periods relate to local astronomical transitions. The correct place, coordinates and time zone are therefore part of the electional statement.

A candidate window should belong to the location where the act will begin, not to a copied calendar for another city.

03शोधन

Filter before ranking

The search first removes or qualifies moments under inauspicious periods, transitions and event-specific conditions. It then evaluates the remaining windows through the factors that matter for the act.

This is more honest than assigning every minute a single numerical score. Some conditions are disqualifying, some are supportive and others create trade-offs that a practitioner should inspect.

04मुहूर्त कुण्डली

The chart of the moment

A surviving calendar window must still be examined through its lagna, relevant lords, house condition, strength and cancellation logic. The event chart asks whether the moment can carry the intended beginning.

The exact method and emphasis may vary by tradition and event family, which is why rule provenance remains important.

05निर्णय

Choose and explain

The practitioner compares viable windows against the real schedule, the people involved and the trade-offs that remain. A chosen time should be explainable in more than the colour green.

Muhūrta seeks a supportive beginning. It does not replace preparation, consent, circumstance or the natal promise of the participants. This boundary is part of the method, not an apology for it.
